1972 Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champs
Next year's champions finally won the big one in January 1972. The Dallas Cowboys became NFL Champions after defeating the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VI. This game was never really close as Dolphin coach Don Shula said that the Dallas Defense "destroyed them." Though that is a true statement, it was the Cowboys ball control offense that managed the game with a solid ground game.
This set takes the Pro Action design and applies it to the the Super Bowl winners. Several key players are singled out and get a posed head shot superimposed over a Super Bowl action shot. Players featured are MVP Roger Staubach, Duane Thomas, Calvin Hill, Mike Ditka, Lance Alworth, Bob Hayes, Walt Garrison, Chuck Howley, Bob Lilly, Jethro Pugh, Craig Morton, Larry Cole, and Tom Landry.
