1963 Baltimore Colts Looking Sharper Than Ever!
After winning championships in 1958 and 1959, the Baltimore Colts were going into some lean seasons for the franchise in the early 1960’s. Coming off a 7-7 season, the team was starting to rebuild. Many old hands were still around, but some future stars had joined the team and were starting to emerge.
Retrocards presents our extension of the Colts portion of the attractive and popular 1963 football set with a new 18-card set. Some familiar old hands are featured here, such as Ordell Braase, George Preas, Joe Perry and Lamar McHan. Some younger, but established players are also included, such as Tom Gilburg, Alex Hawkins, Jackie Burkett and Palmer Pyle.
This set also includes players not yet to be featured on a bubblegum card, such as Wiley Feagin, Don Thompson, Butch Wilson, John Diehl and Bob Clemens. Still, the highlights of this set just may be the would-be rookie cards of future Colts stars Willie Richardson and Dan Sullivan, among others. A great set for Colts fans, as well as anyone who loved the look of the 1963 football set. Order yours now!
